Barcelona is hosting the Formula One™ Grand Prix this weekend after a three-week break! We can’t wait to see what changes the teams have made and it is sure be an exciting race. Tapas originated in Spain as small plates that could be placed over your wine glass to keep the bugs out in the warm summer days. We are preparing a spread of tapas that will keep your friends coming back for more.
Barcelona is nestled on the Northeast coast of Spain on the Mediterranean Sea.
The track is pretty robust featuring long straights and a variety of corners.
Tapas Time! Start off your prep work on Saturday and whip up a Grand Prix Sangria! We started with a nice Spanish red of course and added plenty of citrus, berries, and some cherry liquor.
Grilled Shishito Peppers are super easy and addicting. With about 1 in 10 chance of getting a hot one, it’s a game of snacking roulette!
Manchego and Warm Apple Tapas are a sweet and salty treat!
A traditional Spanish Tortilla is a necessity for Barcelona.
Patata Bravas are like the Spanish version of smothered fries.
Serrano Ham is so salty and delicate and pairs great with sweet melons. Try out Serrrano Ham Wrapped Cantaloupe.
Last but certainly not least Pan Con Tomate, or tomato bread, is served everywhere in Barcelona and just requires simple, fresh ingredients.
From your F1 Foodies, we hope that you enjoy these tapas and have a Happy Race Weekend!
